What Makes Us Special?
every child's learning experience matters
At Sowing Seeds Tuition, we understand that every child learns differently. Many of the children we support have experienced challenges within education, including ADHD, autism, AuDHD, anxiety, low self-esteem, school avoidance, learning differences, or gaps in their learning. Our approach is centred around understanding each child as an individual and creating a learning experience that helps them feel safe, valued and capable of success.
Before tuition begins, we take time to understand your child’s strengths, interests, learning style, challenges and goals. This allows us to tailor our teaching methods, resources and pace of learning to meet their individual needs.
We focus not only on academic progress but also on building confidence, resilience, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Our highly qualified tutors use a range of personalised teaching strategies, including visual learning, practical activities, movement breaks, technology-based resources, confidence-building techniques and adaptive teaching approaches. Sessions are carefully planned to align with your child’s school curriculum, EHCP outcomes (where applicable) and individual learning targets.
We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, nurturing and low-pressure learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their achievements. Many children who come to us have lost confidence in their abilities; our aim is to help them rediscover a love of learning and develop the self-belief needed to thrive both in education and beyond.
All tutors hold Enhanced DBS checks and receive training in supporting children with additional needs, including dyslexia, autism, ADHD and PDA. We understand that the learning environment plays a crucial role in a child’s success, which is why we have created learning spaces that feel different from a traditional classroom or tuition centre and are designed to reduce stress and support engagement.
We offer computer-free small group (4) tuition at our centre with learners of a similar age and ability, providing opportunities for collaboration and social confidence while still maintaining a personalised approach. For children who prefer learning from the comfort of home or live elsewhere in the country, we also offer online tuition.
One-to-one tuition is available for learners who require more individualised support or who benefit from an even more bespoke learning programme.
